Our family business eveloped in 1968 out of an old farmstead. The name “Zum Schwalbennest” originated from the many swallow’s Nests on the walls of the farmstead. Back then, the Family Business was a really cozy restaurant and it was not planned to extend the Business anytime soon. From 1975 to 1986, we Extended the premises neverthelessand turned the former restaurant into a hotel-restaurant.
Meanwhile in the hands of the second Generation and after some renovations, we now offer: Quite location beside the main street but only 200 meters apart of the Center, 65 rooms (120 beds) with shower/toilets/telephone/TV, partly with balcony, substantial breakfast, lift, garages, parking area for cars, busses and bikes, three different lounges, a comfortable bistro-restaurant and during the summer a big beer garden with Barbecues and a children’s playground right by.
We offer free WiFi to our guests at every room. Also, you can find a Computer with free internet access at the reception area.
